Developing A Story for your Short Film

Write a treatment and make a vision-board on your blog!

Create a character:
Think of three adjectives, one describing their physical appearance, one about their personality, one about the psyche. Example: A tall, shy, trusting person!

Create a situation:
Develop a very specific event that creates a conflict/misunderstanding.

Create a Transformation:
Your main character  must be transformed somehow! by changing one of the adjectives they started with.

Tell the story with pictures, rather than with words (You will use dialogue, but you should understand the story without any words).

Write three short paragraphs
Part One: Show the adjectives of your character.
Part Two: Show the conflict.
Part Three: Show how the character went through a change.

Cinematography

What is cinematography
The name comes from combining two Greek words: kinema, which means movement, and graphein, which means to record. In film, cinematography refers to the photographing of the movie itself. The person in charge of this is the cinematographer, also known as the director or photography or the DP.
